Pedro Martins – VOX (feat. Kurt Rosenwinkel)

Berlin based independent label Heartcore Records celebrates a release of the fourth album called „VOX“ by Pedro Martins – Brazilian 25-year-old musical prodigy who showcases his skills as a multi-instrumentalist and composer on the new album, a collection of 13 jazz-inflected Brazilian rock songs co-produced and featured by the great jazz luminary and founder of Heartcore Records Kurt Rosenwinkel.
Pedro invited his friends – four young Brazilian jazz artists Antonio Loureiro, Frederico Heliodoro, Amoy Ribas and german pianist Olivia Trummer – to  participate on the VOX world’s debut in Berlin. Kurt Rosenwinkel will be also appearing as a special guest for this performance. This one-of-a-kind event is taking place at Auster Club, April 2nd 2019.
Though this will be Pedro Martins’ first album for Heartcore as a leader, it won’t be the first time he has appeared in the Heartcore discography; Martins is a featured member of Rosenwinkel’s Caipi Band and can be heard playing guitar, keyboards, and singing on the 2017 Heartcore Records release “Caipi”. Him, Antonio, Frederico and Olivia has spent the last two years touring the world with Rosenwinkel’s Caipi band, in addition to the pursuit of their own diverse and creative musical projects.
Album ‚VOX‘ which is hosting jazz musicians such as Brad Mehldau and Chris Potter will come into life right in this evening and the label representatives consider this an important moment in the independent music history!
