Sunidhi Chauhan is often referred as the princess of Bollywood playback singing, in fact today she’s one of the leading female singers in India.
Sunidhi started singing at the very young age of four years, went through various talent hunt shows on TV, where she finally won the mega final of “Meri Awaaz Suno” in 1996. She shot to fame in 1999 with the soundtrack of the movie "Mast" with singing the superhit song “Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi” amongst three other songs. In 2001 she won the prestigious RD Burman Award for the “Most Promising Newcomer”. Since then she has climbed up the ladder straight and hasn’t stopped winning award after award.
Meanwhile she has sung more than 5000 songs for Hindi and regional cinema such as Oriya, Punjabi, Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Assamese and Nepali till date. Known for her versatility, she’s booked for all kind of songs including many romantic songs, be it duets or solo songs, as well as for most catchy and peppy dance numbers.
Furthermore she’s known for being the first female singer from India to venture into a successful collaboration with the international popstar Enrique Iglesias for Hindi version of song “Heartbeat”.
And in 2013, Sunidhi has released her first independent single, "Ab Laut Aa" with Sanjoy Deb in the Electronic Dance Music genre.
Also popular for her rocking stage shows, which are always sold out wherever she performs – she’s now made some space from her tight schedule to visite Europe in August this year.
