Hannah Scoitt

Much of the inspiration behind Hannah Scott’s music can be found in her affinity with Italy. A year living and working in Tuscany in her late teens provided the backdrop to her early work and she has found her musical home with creative partner Stefano Della Casa, with whom she has been travelling between the UK and Italy to write and produce her forthcoming record, due out early next year. Hannah’s music has been played regularly on the BBC, including a live session on Dermot O’Leary’s Radio 2 show and Radio 2 play by Bob Harris, as well as being chosen by BBC Introducing as their “Track of the Week” on three occasions. She received funding from PRS Foundation in late 2016 to travel to New York to perform at music festival and conference Mondo NYC and has run a successful crowdfunding campaign via PledgeMusic to return to the festival this autumn. Praise for her distinctive voice, strong melodies and thought-provoking lyrics has arrived from influential publications such as MOJO Magazine, who shortlisted her from hundreds of entries for the final of their New Voice competition and The Guardian newspaper, who handpicked her as their New Band of the Day. She can also be heard in Caffè Nero, where she has twice been “Artist of the Month”, in Starbucks and in bars and hotel chains around the world. Her arresting live performances have earned her invitations to open for artists including Seth Lakeman and 10cc and she has performed at renowned venues such as London’s Union Chapel as well, of course, as playing throughout Italy.
