The Experimental Tropic Blues Band presents 'Liquid Love' - Made in New York. The Experimental Tropic Blues Band presents ‘Liquid Love’ – Made in New York. “Boogie Snake”, “Dirty Coq” and “Devil d’Inferno” recorded their third album in New York in March 2011, at NY HED Studio, run by Matt Verta Ray (Heavy Trash). For this third album, the band has called upon the services of a leading expert in rock and roll of the last twenty years, but above all a fucking musician and an outstanding producer: Jon Spencer!
Mr Spencer allowed them to make the album they have always wanted to make: an old-style record, with analogical tapes as only master! At NY HED, there was no Pro-tools, no restarting endlessly to achieve perfection, everything was done in the moment! Spontaneity and the unexpected sublimated the errors and breathed life into these tracks. By recording the noisy pipes of the heating system, unsheathing his guitar, urging the band to play with instruments they had never touched, Jon Spencer sent packing the clichés of the studio.
He made of this session a playful, rock’n’roll and full of life experience, whose evidence is the record you are holding in your hands. With the boss of Blues Explosion on the passenger seat, The Experimental Tropic Blues Band rushes at top speed through the dirtiest streets of the City, driving on sidewalks and belching his epileptic rock...
