It rocks even if she sings songs from the time before rock was even invented…
Meschiya Lake was five times voted New Orleans' "Best Female Vocalist", has won a wheen of prizes in The Big Easy Music Awards and has toured USA, Canada, UK, Denmark, Holland, Brasil and Russia. She and her band (The Little Big Horns) have released two albums, Lucky Devil in 2010 and Foolers Gold in 2013.
Russel Welch
… is an acoustic jazz guitarist and band leader who has played in 12 countries, world wide. He is based in New Orleans where he plays, records, and tours with his own gypsy jazz band, The Russell Welch Hot Quartet/Trio, and with other top vintage jazz bands, including Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns. Russell has released three jazz albums as a leader: "Showarama Hot Trio" (all original) - nominated for best traditional jazz album 2012, "Pour Vou" (jazz standards), and, most recently, "MISSISSIPPI GIPSY" (all original), which he featured and supported with a mini European tour.
