Soma’s Mark Henning is also a welcome guest: somewhere between house and techno, with a healthy dose of funk, swing, deepness and weirdness – Mark provides all the required ingredients to have the crowds busting crazy moves on the dancefloor with this infectious vibe. Nominated for DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards for Best Breakthrough DJ 2009, Mark has established himself as a consistent producer of quality underground house and techno having released music on well-regarded labels such as Soma, Hypercolour, Poker Flat, Freude am Tanzen and more recently his own imprint Swing. Chica Paula makes a bold fusion between several music genres. She frequently performs as a DJ and is also part of the Oceanclub, the innovative musical collective from Berlin. During her performances she combines fairytale-like ambient with house,techno and electropop. An innovative and veteran Berlin artist since the golden 90s, working with legendary names like Moritz von Oswald, Mike Vamp, Gudrun Gut, Thomas Fehlman and many more, on top of her work as a DJ, producer, performer and remixer, Chica Paula is also working as a curator for the Electro Fair at the Worldtronics Festival, Berlin since 2010. But it is for her talent on the turntables that Chica Paula is best known for. Mr. Statik, aka Stathis Kalatzis, born in 1978, is known to many from his hugely successful residency at Athens’ place-to-be, ‘Six D.O.G.S’. Originally heavily influenced by the 90′s breakbeat and early hardcore scene, Statik went on to gain international recognition in the contemporary techno scene, a long standing contribution to the community that included numerous slots at many international renowned festivals and releases on some of the world’s leading house and techno labels.
