Every Monday we involve different DJs, labels, residents or record shops to host a night with like-minded artists, BFFs and respected colleagues in Globus. The focus lies in vinyl DJing, buddy atmo and just flat-out good vibes. All in hyperfat sound, brought to you by Void Acoustics. Spin that mofo! Deep in the magnetic center of the Berlin Prenzlauerberg pulse, one can find the Oye Records shop, if you don’t fancy ordering from their extensive online webshop. Featuring countless styles for all tastes, and even a branch in trendy Kreuzkölln. Markus Lindner is Delfonic, DJ, producer and manager of Oye Records, starting his professional DJ career in 2004 and has meanwhile played every single club, shack and party in Berlin, and quite a bit in Germany and Europe too. He is also label manager of Box aus Holz, Torben & Money $ex Records, which are related to OYE Records. For Markus, it’s all about the groove. Melis Yildirim, or simply Melis, is a vinyl lover and DJ now based in Berlin. Her passion also for groovy house is perfect for tonight’s Globus Floor, as well as Vactubes from the Brookyln-based L.I.E.S. label that claims itself “committed to sonic destruction.” Woah – but let’s dance the night away first!
