For many Tresor Club fans, the ticket to capturing the essence of the underground feeling that Tresor has always represented, belongs to those who venture into the basement on Wednesdays for the new faces behind the decks. Every current techno star today was once a “new face” yesterday and these young DJs are the promise of the genre’s future, many of them already solidly based in their own club residencies yet now breaking into the German capital nightlife à la Tresor. Frank Garcia from Spain is Spektral, has played all over the Iberian peninsula and is the label manager of Underground Family Records. Young German techno DJ Marco Baumann has played in various top German clubs and is associated with TonWerk and Blaues Blut; also on the decks is EFN’s Klangmann. The night is under the guided precision techno arm of long-time Tresor resident Ro.
