Jakob Ogawa

The
Oslo based artist Jakob Ogawa (20) searches the world for inspiration
and merges elements from film, art and music. The result is refreshing
and expressive – like a warm breeze in the cold winter night.


Having only released three couple of singles and an EP, Jakob’s music
has already caught the attention of international tastemakers like
NYLON, Colors Berlin, Gorilla vs. Bear, Gold Flake Paint, Urban
Outfitters, Clash Magazine and more. The latter dubbing him "a 19 year
old prodigy from Norway”.


Following two much talked about shows at the major Nordic showcase
festival by:Larm in February, Jakob joined American band LANY on the
road in Europe for a 12-stop tour. He has since been selected by Red
Bull to take the stage as a Red Bull Sound Select-artist, together with
Canadian Homeshake in addition to doing a show with Perfume Genius
during Oslo’s Øya Festival.

Jakob has since played at
Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, and is very much looking forward to
bringing his band back on the road for a good bunch of shows in
December. There might even be some new music hitting the airwaves pretty
soon.
